Ryan,
Hasn't it yet dawned on you that the media makes it's fortune on bad
news. A million cops doing their work in a professional manner,
brutalizing no one, not comitting a dishonest act, and being dedicated
family men and citizens off duty does not impress the media. One bad
cop incident sells a lot of papers.
Actually if you take into account he number of bad instances, as
compared with the millions of people contacted daily by LEO's, I think
the figures are very gratifying. And, I am not saying we should not
all deplore these instances and try to correct them. On the other
hand, we can't tar all police officers, or even the majority of police
officers with the same brush each time there is an incident like this.
Kent,
... You'll love cops if you ever need one!
