thats pretty good..H(he doesnt have) A(any) M(money)..HAM.
i havent met to many hams who do...
i am also disabled and spend most of my time on hf or packet here at
the house (or the internet lately).
the radio i have is a older one..read that''before fancy additions.
it will scan..either the 3 memories or the band.
i dont have a book on it,all of the things the radio will do is
marked on the front panel, not like some of the new multi-function
button radios of today.
it has selectable offsets (plus, minus or simplex),LED readouts, analog
signal strength meter,RF gain, memory recall and memory program buttons
and high/low power button and so on.
it may do "tone-burst" and i thing there is a button labled "tone"
on it..the older radios that had a button called "tone" referred
to tone burst instead of sub-audible tones...a few repeaters use
tone burst (1750hz) but most of them are some pll tone instead.
the radio is in like new shape, i wouldnt say a perfect 10 but
at least a nine. it doesnt look like it was ever used mobile..
i bought it from a cb'er who thought it was a cb radio until
he couldnt get anyone to answer him...hi
I am asking $100 for it. contact me on email if you will.
thanks...de bill n5dox (abilene texas)
