No, it does not. You should not have to load it but if you run doors, you 
will have problems otherwise. Most of the doors do not have an internal Ansi 
support and this will result in a Ansi code garbage (popular doors like 
Bluewave and Lord have this problem). On the other hand, if you do have doors 
but do not use them locally, again you don't have to load any ansi drivers.
Also for the Qemm error, probably an alternative ansi driver may solve your 
problem.
