I have a Sears refrigerator with a top freezer which has an ice maker with a wire lever .The wire lever drops when the ice is removed and the icemaker releases water into the ice cube tray.Somehow (maybe visiting kids) the wire lever was locked into the UP position . Before calling a repairman,I decided to check it myself. There's a black box over the front end, that I found could be easily pulled off.I unscrewed the Phillips screw on the center large gear and it pulls off. Then I started to loosen the three Phillips screws holding the cover plate and the lever snapped back down like it should. Everything works fine now. --- Maximus 3.01* Origin: TANSTAAFL BBS 717-838-8539 (1:270/615) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 270/615 150/220 379/1 10/345 106/1 2000 633/267 |
