SH> The Chevrolet site and I are fighting about Cookies but Honda will sell me SH> four aluminum rims for $1537.00 CAN. I didn't like the GM site either and 1537, is that per rim? :-) BF>> The rims to a 4 WD pickup is a bit special too, made for off-road driving BF>> and if the police should caught me with rims that are not approved for 4 BF>> WD I would get a ticket and then I had to change them. SH> That's a new one on me. When the car is 3 yo. we have to visit a "car test" in order to get a new "tax-reciet" to put on the rear plate and if the car doesn't follow the "rules" you don't get it and then the police can see that you don't have been to the test and will stop you. The police even have "flying" controls on the road and checks the car and if they find an error you might even have to tow the car to a garage to have it fixed. They even chech if you are having proper tyres. At least 3 mm left on winter tyres and here it's a *law* to have approved winter tyres during winter if it's snow on the road. The police have even access to the "car-test:s" database to see if there is any problem with the car. So, if I should have rims on my car that isn't approved for 4 WD by the manufacture I'm in a big trouble at the "car-test" and by the police and I think even by the insurance company if I was in an accident. Not even all tiresmarked M&S (Mud&Snow) are approved here in wintertime as winter tyres. USA have another rubbermix in their M&S tyres that doesn't stand the minus deg so for use in Sweden they have to make another rubbermix and this the police have a list for and if you are using wrong tires they give you a ticket for driving on summer tires even if you are using M&S tires. BF>> Tell that to the GM bosses...... BF>> Imported from the States. SH> I don't own a GM. :-) Good for you. BF>> Then they have to take a cab. BF>> There is always a choise to be made. Driving safely or not to drive, BF>> that's the question. SH> But is a battery that isn't as good as new unsafe? Of cause not. I ment in general. //Bj”rn ---* Origin: .
