I originally used SEM in OS/2 with its builtin Windows support.  Very  
smooth, no problems.   So I wonder - SEM may not be the best choice in  
today's standalone 32/64bit Win OSes.  But I'll see if the garbage chars  
duplicate in an XP w/Fastecho combination.
