Uh, in MY opinion, and several others I know, EMS wouldn't have evolved
as fast or maybe not even in the same direction, if EMERGENCY! wasn't
on the air. It was basically a commercial for L.A. (wasn't it L.A?) to
show-off their system, but let's face it: it was during the time when
the funeral homes were still racing to the scene, throwing the crumpled
bodies into the back, and hauling it for the hospital, not treating at
all. (Granted, in EMERGENCY!, the ambulance crews that I've seen in it
never treat the patient, but at least if it was serious, Johnny or Roy
rode in the back doing tx)...
