this famous CS guy "Knuth" once said "Any one who uses
etermanistic methods to
generate random numbers is of course lining in a state of sin" (or
something similar)

nevertheless that's what most programming platforms provide.

RND isn't really random it just uses a mathematical formaula make
numbers in a random-looking order, good enough for most people.
the RND will repeat the exact same pattern after about 2^24 uses.

if you want more-random numbers couunt quicly while waiting for a
keypress or do something similar that samples the randomness of the
universe.
