I have to agree with You on the hand feeding being A critical time but there 
are several breeders and dealers that I have dealt with and Myself have 
aught
people to hand feed over a period of time and made sure that they could do it 
properly on several visits before letting them take an unweaned baby home to 
feed by themselves. Anyone interested in handfeeding has to start somewhere.
And anyone that has had a pet parrot that they have hand fed themselves will 
tell You how much beter that pet can turn out.
