She was talking about a 90 degree angle impact with the tunnel wall, and all
you would get would be a glancing type blow in any type of accident. You
would never be able to direct all of the force at a 90 degree angle to the
tunnel wall.
WHEW!, talking about your speed, and you're worried about what a cop would do
to your car if he/she commandeered it?  I don't think you will need
much help in throwing a rod or blowing an engine.
