| subject: | Re: Firewall for webmail server |
From: "Glenn Meadows"
Not yet, but I've had extensive email discussions with Bjarne on the
updated version. We used one of the early releases, years ago, when he was
just getting the VPN stuff going. IT worked great. From our discussions,
he's added a ton of additional functionality, and because the whole thing
happens way down at the network driver level, virtually all of the OS
services are unused, making it a very secure solution. Heck, it will even
run on a Windows XP Home machine, even a Celeron 800 he says, and with 100
users, it shouldn't even tax the machine.
We're going to setup 3 nics on it, one for the WAN/Router in, one for the
secure Lan side, and one for the DMZ for Mail/FTP server.
