subject: Cohorts in cahoots

> Cohort,n the tenth part of a Roman legion, a body of about 600 men.

ROFL, Dogs are not what they are cracked up to be.

 NP>
NP> See the Five Gospels referred to in the previous message.

 > What happened to all his supporters?

NP> Pissed off when they looked like getting what he got ???

That explains the complaining about desertion afterwards.

NP> According to the Christians, that makes you prime material for him.
NP> " He came to save the sinners" ......etc

My strain of Pagan can't sin as such, there are no personal prohibitions,
plenty of moral targets though:-)

NP> I've got the Apochrypha on disk. (Copyrighted of course)
NP> These were the books they left out of the bible.

Eh? I'm sure they are included in the bible, Oh, I get it, you are
talking about the wrong bible:-)

NP> I've been waitin on the Dead Sea material!!!

Didn't I see a note somewhere it has been released, apart from some
fragments that are still being glued that is?

 NP> Unfortunately.
NP> Why speculate when there is so much archeological fact to peruse.

Indeed, It seems though that some of this speculative material has it's
roots based in facts.
It is of course quite possible the conclusions drawn from the facts are
incorrect, that John was egging the Romans on for example is a distinct
possibility.

Neverheless, I feel it has merits to look at some of the material, there
are too many discrepancies between the simple carpenters son leading an
esoteric sort of existance like the various churches want to put
accross and some of the facts.

Jesus came from royal lineage, making all this holy carpentry somewhat
dubious.

Once doubts are about it is time to examine all these discrepancies and
see if they add up to something other than a religious nut.

Cheers,

Theo
