TH>Sure, come on in. We're friendly, damnit! [grin]
hehhehee
TH>Not for you, nor any newbie. It is for DOS, though I have no
TH>problems running any of my progs under W95. 3.0 supports all C++
... runs fine under win95 here =)
TH>The manual is well written, the IDE (while not the greatest) is
TH>colorful and flexible.
I hope the "colorful" is an overstatement - bluh!
TH>IMHO, I think it is better for you than the windows based versions,
TH>since the extra overhead of Windows can be distracting.
on my computer, overhead includes anything like, disk access ...
spinning a cd-rom ... booting .... it screams slow.
TH>However, if you are getting your feet wet with C++, your
TH>garage sale deal is a good one in my opinion.
Cool ... still trying to comprehend pointers ... from the nasty, boring
book, but hey, at least I know now that it's not impossible.
