I think that is a misjudgement. Lots of business can be done via email using
pgp as in passing credit card numbers and the like. I tried to push you
long
by asking if I could order tse via email but I believe it was hard-basketted.
pgp is really quite easy. pgp -kg to get started. pgp -h for online help.

I have a couple of pgp macros here courtesy of the semware ftp site. mpgp
nd
pgp. Both are around 20K so probably too long to post in fido. But they are
both very well done. Enable viewing pubring key to choose recepient's key
etc.
