Subject: The night Before Christmas
Fellow Federationists and friends,
On this day of happiness and rejoycing mary and I wanted to wish everyone
on all of these lists a happy holliday season and a prosperous New Year to
come. in order to capture the true meaning of Christmas we are sharing
with you a poem which Georgerichards, one of my readers from last semester
inputted for us on our last day together. he is to be given much credit
for working tirelessly to helping me figure out how to access some of the
Microsoft Applications I used in one of my classes and will use in the
future. It excites me to know that one by one we're teaching sighted
people how they can work with us to help us overcome these obstacles and
to better understand the need to make software accessible to us.
Again we wish each and every one of you the very best of holliday seasons
and a happy and prosperous 19967. Here now is the poem:
Twas the night before Christmasand in spaced there hurled a shining bright
star that foretold a new World. The streets were noiseythe people all
feasting, while in a small stable lay a couple now resting. Their journey
was long, and from far away, but in the large town, they had no place to
stay.
The stable they say was no worst than most. But from the smell of the
place no one could boast. Lying on hay cradled in a small mangeramong
animals and angels he was in no danger. One being so small in the arms of
a lady. How was the World to know this was God as a baby.
On one side there sat a group of shepherds by night. Their watch was
interupted by an explosion of light, came a symphony of angels from Heaven
to come. To tell the good news that the Savior had come. While Joseph
and Mary lay resting there came three men from afar their mission the
same.
Traveling thousands of miles in search of one thing. When they came to
the end they found Jesus the King. Upon seeing Mary and the baby with her
they presented their gifts of gold, incense myrrh.
Thhis baby grew upwith only one mission, to take away sinthat of God and
Mman's divission Jesus performed miracles and wondersfor all to see, to
show us like him, by our choice we could be.
So as you can see by the storry I tell, it's a matter of choice, between
Heaven and Hell. So all that I ask this Holiday season that you stop and
you thinkabout the real reason. To remember the baby so gentle as a dove,
and that God became flesh to show us true love. If you feel that this
story has pierced a hard heart, then ask Jesus in to your life because
that's a great start.
A poem for the truthof love
By
George riches
Happy hollidays everyone.
Yours truly,
Peter Donahue
