engineered, and developed at the request of the US army, before
WWII

Again, only if he was moonlighting..
I would also reference the RCA History, available on the WWW, at
www.nipper.com which makes no reference of being the "first" in
Two way. Surely, anybody who could claim it, would!
Looking also at a copy of Scientific American, in 1916, which shows
a picture of a mobile two way installation for a police department.
quite an interesting antenna array! A very interesting article. I
found the magazine for sale on the internet, and it now is displayed
at our shop. Of course, this was a demo system, two way did not
come into widespread use for many years later.
Your grandfather would have had to have been 17 years old, when
the system was operational!
So again, Scott, maybe your grandfather invented RCA's first introduction
into the Two Way field, but no where near the first of them all.
