subject: NOTHING COMPARES TO JAR ?

Hello Bert!
On Tuesday November 05 1996, Bert Bredewoud spewed forth to Christopher
Saunders:
 >> JAR is intended for fast machines with a lot of memory.
 >> JAR took approximately 3 minutes to compress it on my Pentium-75
 >> with 16 megabytes of RAM.
BB> On a P100 with 16 Mb of Ram it took 56 seconds.
BB> Strange, the CPU is 1/4 faster but Jar is 3 times faster.....
 BB> Anybody with a P200 ?
I've got a 6x86-P200+(150mhz chip, comparable to a P200.) What did you test
on? I'll try it and see what I get.
Later Days,
Kevin or
... The National Procrastinators Week will be rescheduled...
