It is bad enough that Fidonet is divided into zones by politics but for a
smoothly operating network, we should at least all adhere to the same agreed
upon TECHNICAL standards.

What is the point of maintaining an independant Fidonet wide institution that
documents standards, when Zone x can simply set aside agreed standards and say
: Duh... we don't do it that way".

We might as well disband that independant institution and let the burden of
documentation fall on those who say "Duh... "
