| subject: | Fixing Page SysOp in Mystic Linux |
Hey all! So if anyone who runs Mystic on Linux knows, the Page SysOp option on the main menu is broken. Choosing it doesn't do anything. While a few folks have done what I have done, I assume, I wanted to just lay out what steps I took for future SysOps or people trying it out, to know how you can get this feature working. So I wrote up a blog post for my BBS blog and wanted to share it here... http://wp.me/p4378W-1L TL;DR: I installed mpg123 and used the that to play an mp3 of a Star Trek SFX that I made a 30 second loop of, while having Mystic show a box to the user letting them know the Sysop has been paged. 73!
