Well, guys, I was going to wait to post about this until I was sure what was
going on...however, thought I'd fill you in on what's up with Ms. Fiddle.
She came up lame about a week and 1/2 ago. Just going short on her right
front. Got a little worse so I called the vet. We haven't really found
anything definite yet...all flexion tests, etc. were negative. No heat, no
swelling, no reaction to hoof testors, so sign of definite injury, etc.
However, she does have a knot on her right fetlock just in the area of the
sesmoid bone. Vet thinks it might be calcification on the tendon or on the
bone from an old injury. He's even said it could be an old fracture!! How
that could be, I don't know as I've had her since she was 6 months old, and
would have known if something like that had happened! Anyway, he took some
films last night, and we should get the results today or tomorrow. This is
NOT fun! So, anyway, I'll let you all know as soon as I know anything
more.....
Horses!!! Argggghhhhhhhhhh!!
Meg
