Deborah Gibson was seen kissing Large Marge and telling us:
DG> Has he not gotten plenty of time as the full-time left fielder in recent
DG> years to show he cannot and never will hit lefties??
You obviously don't watch enough of the Braves to know it but Klesko does get
more than his share of "rest" against lefties. He's probably had all of 200
at bats against lefties since he's joined the Braves.
DG> The Dodgers problem is indeed chemistry,
No, it isn't. You want chemistry -- take some LSD and root for the Cubs. If
you want winners, look for the ones that put out when they cross the white
lines. That is NOT chemistry, that's PROFESSIONALISM.
DG> Michael Jordan does not deserve a ring.
He deserves it more than the Dodgers...
DG> Team players DO NOT ask for more money than the ENTIRE salary cap.
They do when they give up that much money in order to put together a
championship team. Jordan could have EASILY made 3 to 4 times as much as he
did but he took less so they can sign their players...
DG> Team players DO NOT sit there on national television 15 minutes
DG> after winning their fifth title and say "Yeah, I'll be back if they
DG> give me $40 million".
NEITHER DID MICHAEL JORDAN. Hatred is no reason to make up stories. Jordan's
ONLY demands last year after the championship were that they bring back
Jackson and Pippen.
DG> tonight". Michael Jordan is the most pompus, selfish,
DG> arrogant, egomaniacal athlete I have EVER seen in ANY sport,
You obviously aren't very objective because if you're going to talk ego --
Larry Bird would give him run for his money. Arrogant? How about Kirk Gibson,
ex-Dodger and definitely an arrogant player or Babe Ruth...
DG> have his ring, not for his team. I do not respect him, I do not buy
DG> this "Jordan is the greatest ever" garbage, and the day he finally
DG> leaves the NBA, I will throw a party.
You obviously don't have a clue about it because he IS the greatest ever to
play the game. He's not even my favorite (I'm a Lakers' fan) and I have
nothing but respect for the man. I can't stand the Bulls, however, I do
respect what they've done. To call Jordan arrogant while proclaiming your
love for a bunch of egomaniacs in LA who can't put their egos aside to win is
hilarious.
DG> He has taught an entire generation of young basketball fans and
DG> players that hotdoging, showboating and self-centeredness is the way
DG> to go in basketball, and not only do I despise him as a player and
DG> human being, he has single-handedly ruined the NBA. Down with Michael
DG> Jordan!
I REALLY laugh at this because many of the older players who are decrying the
younger players have done nothing but bend over backwards to mention Michael
Jordan as the greatest example of how these (and future) players should act.
DG> Despite the fact Jordan and his "supporting cast" play in a
DG> watered-down, declining league.
Puhleeze. MLB has been "watered-down" recently so don't cast stones. If
you're going to cast stones then let's not forget that the Dodgers won most
of their championships AFTER expansion....
