Hmmm...  those have their uses, but they can be confusing to newbies and to
people with simpler requirements.  It's sometimes hard to pick out the bits
that are important from the ones that are nice extras, or special purpose.

That was the style I originally had, _until_ I went back to the manual!  Oh
