Hello all!
I am setting up our company network and they have five departments. They want
them all on the network for email and file exchange but they would also like
to keep them in different workgroups so it will be easier to control resource
access. They are all running Win95 with one WinNT3.51 server. There are no
server based software packages and everyone is using stand alone Pentiums and
486's.
Problem started when we went from one dept to another. I added another
machine with an identifier that was different from the first. First workgroup
was "Engineering" and the second was "Maintenance". The second machine cannot
see anyone in the first workgroup and it cannot browse the "Entire Network"
getting an error. None of the machines in the engineering workgroup can see
the new one either.
Any ideas as to were I screwed up?????????
Later,
Paul
