My friend, from a divorce survivor whose survived and now remarried
HAPPILY, I can hear you. Thanks for sharing. I don't know if they
still have the SIP_CODA (codependents anonymous) echo on Fido, but if
they do, you might want to ask your sysop to get it for you - CODA is a
12 step fellowship like AA only for people who are struggling with
unhealthy relationships and the aftermath of same. They work along the
lines of Al-Anon and Nar-Anon and Gam-anon family groups; however, it
is not limitted to people who are married to folks with these
addictions. Coda is for anyone.
.
I know Al-Anon helped me a lot and my ex - and other bad relationships
too - had all had drinking problems. But it's the same process Coda
uses, pretty much. And it got me through a real bad time. If you
can't find the CODA echo and you'd like me to try to locate CODA's
national office address, I'd be glad to check it out with a friend who
does go to CODA for you. (Like Al-Anon and all the 12 step groups, a
collection is taken at which you donate what you can afford - there is
no set charge. If you can't afford it, you don't have to give. And,
after divorce, who has money already?)
