I think in '68 dual brake systems was mandated by the feds. I know a '72 has 
them.

A good idea before cranking any engine that has set this long is to pull all 
the plugs and put a little oil (couple of teaspoons) down each plug hole and 
crank it with the plugs removed. There could be some rust in the cylinders 
and the oil will help.
