G'morning Earl,

Sure do: the rules read "Fill the grid so that every column,
every row and every 3x3 box contains the digits 1 to 9".

Take the example starter:-

 MM>5 0 0 7 0 8 0 0 3
 MM>0 0 2 9 3 0 0 0 0
 MM>0 0 7 0 6 0 4 1 0

 MM>6 0 0 3 0 9 0 5 1
 MM>0 1 5 0 0 0 9 2 0
 MM>2 7 0 1 0 4 0 0 8

 MM>0 4 6 0 1 0 5 0 0
 MM>0 0 0 0 9 6 3 0 0
 MM>0 0 0 4 0 2 0 0 0

...and when solved it becomes...

5 9 1 7 4 8 2 6 3
4 6 2 9 3 1 8 7 5
8 3 7 2 6 5 4 1 9

6 8 4 3 2 9 7 5 1
3 1 5 6 8 7 9 2 4
2 7 9 1 5 4 6 3 8

7 4 6 8 1 3 5 9 2
1 2 8 5 9 6 3 4 7
9 5 3 4 7 2 1 8 6

Its a narrow-minded exercise in elimination of possibilities, I
find - and its palls after one has done 5 or 6...

Apparently, its a big hit in the British newspaper market; its
been running here for about a month - with no indication of how
popular its is proving.

:-)

(EVE/DID = .TALKTALK.... has 2 solutions !)
