There are some books that picked up where "Return of the Jedi" left off.
There is also one (the only one I've read) that tells the "pre-story," as
well as parts of the beginning, of "Return," from the points of view
of the various partiers that are there when Jedi Luke shows up to free Leah
and Hans.  That one is pretty good.
 
Each "point of view" is a chapter.  There is one that explains
what happened
to Jabba's Majordomo (I forget his name... he has the extra apendage coming
out of his head) and the origin of the Brain Walkers (spider-like robots
you see in the Jabba's hideout scenes), as well as some of what happens
to Boba Fett after he falls into the Saralac.
 
I believe it is called "Tales From Jabba's Palace."
