mk> No, I'm a draftsman in a static-office, my bosses are scientists. Both of
mk> them made their doctor' degree in stress analysis and one has an
mk> professorship at the university of Cologne.

You must mean State-Office, something in the government.
Funny when you said Cologne, I thought it was something that smells good
from Paris but then I relized it must be K”ln.

mk> My fields of interest are astronomy (I have several semi-professional
mk> teleskopes) and books. I am specifically interested in the history of the
mk> arctic- and antarctic-expeditions. I read several books of.

Astronomy...hmmmm...What can you see that they can't see from Hubble?
I saw i program on Discovery from, was it Peru, where they have, was it
4, big mirrors on a mountain to look out in the Universe with. Very intresting.

BF>> And now I can understand the high prize. But without any experience of
BF>> trips like this, why don't you start with someting smaller first.

mk> Simple. From "smaller" to "small" to
"normal" to "big" to "bigger" to
 mk> "once-in-a-live-time" the cost add up... :)

Yeah, but spending so much money on one trip, wouldn't it be better to make
two or three trips?

mk> It's a question of time, too. We are all about 30 years old and singles.

That shouldn't be a problem. You have at least 20 years left.

mk> One of us has a girlfriend since six month and his problems starts. She
mk> wants to buy a new built-in kitchen and new living-room furnitures and has
mk> no understandig for someone, who wants to spend so much money for holidays
 mk> WITHOUT her...

:-)
I wouldn't either.
I'd rather spend that amount of money on something that last a little bit more then
three weeks and wait with that trip untill I win on the lottery. :-)

BF>> That's nothing like three weeks on the Agistri Island just suoth of
BF>> Athens. :-) But would three weeks be enough? I mean, from Resolut to
BF>> Prince of Wales Island isn't just a days ride.

mk> They told us, that this is no problem with an motorized rubber dinghy.

Sorry, my misstake. Ther is a Prince of Wales Island in Alaska as well but now
i have found the one you mean and it isn't that far from Resolute.
