No, you still need a measuring cup for liquids.
However, I remember we had one that was sort of cone-shaped and had a bunch
of choices all around (instead of just ounces on one side and whatever
American measuring cups have on the other), e.g. there was a scale for
sugar, one for flour, etc... I think the marks were weight equivalents.
