Normal DVD is perfectly fine for older movies; there is NA> not that much restoration that can go to really make HDDVD/BluRay that NA> much more visually appealing when watching a "classic" as opposed to NA> normal DVD with a good progressive-scan DVD player/TV. I have only seen Hi-Def so far, so I wonder what the difference is between the two and also wonder if this is going to turn into another Beta v VHS war. I have a TV with built-in Hi-Def and have to wonder how BluRay will appear on it. Also, I heard earlier this year that some movies would only be marketed in those two formats. So, I'm not going to run out and buy a DVD player that will play one or the other until the industry makes up its mind what we're going to be forced to buy. To that, I say PHOOEY!. Regards, Roger ...
