You have me stymied on this one.  If I get a little extra time, I'll try it 
myself and see what falls out of the tree.  The kicker is the (2).  If that's 
the errorlevel Max is returning, it means that the caller never logged on-- 
as when a caller connects and then drops carrier without actually logging on.
