Sweden is not the be-all or end-all for winter driving and you might pay
attention to what is done elsewhere. A trickle charger worked well for me
for several years, thereby extending the life od a so-so battery.

It's nice to know all the parts are properly optimized now. They certainly
were not in the 60s and 70s. And remember that I go back far enough to
remember 6V batteries.:-)
