I thought of digital manipulation, but (hoped) the image was made the old
fashioned way -- either by toning or with color IR. I guess the jury's
still out.

Well the jury just came in, and -- well, I'm not going to let the cat out
of the bag.
I just did a bit of easy/simple research and -- well, I have to admit to a
bit of disappointment, but this does not detract from the beauty of the
finished photographs.
