JD> Some A-26s were rebuilt by ON-Mark Engineering during the
 JD> Vietnam war
I'm familiar with the B-26K by On-Mark. It was a helleva hot-rod
and about a year or so ago you, Jim and I chatted a bit about them.
About 6 mos. ago I was browsing thru some stuff at a gunshow and
passed a table filled with aircraft books, mostly military. There
was a book on A-26's there, and it had two whole glorious chapters
on the On-Mark B-26K. I could kick myself for not buying it right
then and there, but as gunshows tend to go, they wanted $50 for the
book, which I thought was way too high.
All I can recall is that (according to the book) all of the B-26K's
delivered by On-Mark to the ARVN Air Force stayed in Vietnam. By
the time they were replaced by other aircraft they were wrung out
tired exhausted airframes.
Pity. What the book didn't mention was if any of the B-26K's
converted by On-Mark stayed in the U.S. Bound to be some still
around, like the one near you. Are you sure it's a -K model? Would
love to get a picture of it, Colorado Gas have a phone number you
know of?
