But I traced down the problem and it turns out to be unrelated to SP1: the bloomin' libnet.dll has another problem - there is a bug in the interface to WinPCAP in which if the system has multiple IP addresses, it will overflow the libnet.dll call stack. (In the call, they specify the number of bytes in the IPAddress structure but WinPCAP interprets the parameter as number of IPAddress structures). This is the second dumb bug I've found in libnet.dll. It would almost be better to blow away libnet and WinPCAP and just rewrite in raw sockets directly!
