There's one or two of these playerBots for Duke 1.3D too. The one
I have is a modified defs.con file which changes the regular Lizard
Troopers into other Dukes, complete with Duke's full weapon inventory
 and much increased AI.
In some ways, it's harder than playing against other humans -these
guys are *armed* while you still have to scrap around and find
ammo and whatnot. And they hunt you down like a dog after a fox, too.
Not so bad with cheat codes, but damn hard without them. Highly
recommended for practice or if you can't get multiplayer games
 otherwise.
Get on the net and look for a file called cpudukm.zip, about 170K.
Naturally, this is not an Apogee/3Drealms program, so use at your
own risk. Works fine here. :)

modem-to-modem is two-player only. You'd need some kind of network
or LAN for more than that.
