Unfortunately ,it seems that they can. Prohibition being another fine example
of going against the pursuit of happiness, and all that. One you let the
Genii out of the bottle it's kinda hard to get him back in.

I don't know enough about it to qualify that one way or another, but offhand
it doesn't look to an outside observer that the NRA is accepting anything,
permanently. You've got to fight these anti-gun lobbyists all the time, there
will never be and end to it.
