dunno... didn't mean "bad" fear. I was mentioning the second world war.  
There fear of anything like that happening again kept it alive.
And if those in Israel would have more fear than hate, they would be more  
eager to try to gain peace, so that they can live more safely. Of course..  
another option is to kill off your enemy completly if you fear him, but  
they should have learned that this can not be done. Should have... it  
seems they haven't really.

You're right. it is so much easier to shoot some missiles, no?

But even if they'd agree to a treaty and everything, the hate will not  
vanish within just a few years. There would at least be some terrorists  
trying to destroy this peace. Only when those potential killers die of old  
age without any success in teaching their children to hate... then there  
can be really peace.
