| subject: | Re: Why use .Net instead of Win32 ?? |
From: "Peter Sawatzki" Gary, there are two "Clone" Projects of .NET: Mono (http://www.mono-project.com) and dotGnu http://www.dotgnu.org/ from the FSF, where Mono is IMO the most promising project. The Mono guys were bought by Novell. ANd Mono runs on Linux, S390, OSX to name a few. But Mono only implements a subset of .NET. from the Mono page: > Mono Status > 32 bits: x86, PPC, SPARC, S390 > 64 bits: x86-64, SPARC > OS: Linux, Windows, OSX, BSD, Solaris Peter Gary Britt wrote: > .Net Framework runs on Linux?
