I don't see why you have a less secure system when installing .NET.
Installing a runtime that enables the system to run application built in a
more secure environment enhances your system.

I find it especially amusing that you cite examples of a lotto application
written in C - the mother of all buffer overflows :-)

You should IMHO really get more informed about what .NET is and what it
does for a user and a developer!
