On my system it takes less than 2 seconds to read in 7000 messages (IPV6
echo). Maybe there's some corrupt message bases. I'm on a VM that doesn't have
a lot of memory and 1 CPU so I don't think it's the message reader.

For netmail, If I use the ;mail sysop command it instantly loads in 500 or so
messages.
