     I don't see anyone here in Phoenix NOT balding the ears except for me! 
The ONE time I did bald the ears I had to call my vet and have him 
tranquilize Spot to do it!  It's a good thing I don't go in any breed shows, 
or I would feel obligated to bald them to be competitive.
     I guess in Phoenix we don't have the problems with the insects getting 
in the horses' ears like the rest of the country does?
