I am refering to the distance after you've stoped and your siting
there, i was taught that as long as you could see the tires of the car
infront of you touch the ground you were ok at a stop light. I've got a
little story though just to explain how much force is actually exerted
in an accident, My cousin used to have a 1964 Impala SS in perfectly
mint shape, if anyone that dosnt know what one look slike, look on the
Cover of Lowrider magazine, there is always one on the cover. Anyway,
this car weighs over 4000 pounds and my cousin had the right away and
was going stright, then a little Honda (around early 80s) came through
the intersection running the red light and hiting my cousins Impala on
the side door, the force sent the Impala airborne and into the side of
a tree. When the police arrived they looked at the Impala and looked at
the woman and said 'ma'ma how fast where you going?' she was going
around 55 in a 25 yet her 3000 or less pound car sent a car weighing
over 2 tons into the air. So easly the car behind the Taurse could have
pushed it into another car even and slower speeds.
