The exception to this being James Cameron with Terminator 2 Judgement Day,
what I consider to be the landmark in sci-fi/special effects and started
the whole CGI craze. The Watchoski Brothers (sp?), ala The Matrix trilogy,
was also very good. Aside from that... I can't really think of any other
sequals-by-great-directors.
