Hello to the Group!
Here's the question of the week....Other than the fact that a j-pole looks so
neat on your tower, What is the real benefit of it?
I have always been told that odd multiples of a 1/4 wave required no special
matching sections when built over a 1/4 wave radial.
To prove this to myself, I built a 3/4 wavelength over 1/4 wave radials
(drooped 45 degrees) and it matched VERY good!
Will the same apply to a 5/4 wavelength version? If so, how much gain can I
expect?
Thanks for all responses!
No, I can't afford an ARRL antenna handbook! hi hi hi! :-)
