subject: 32-bit navigator

We have heard several times now that updating has/is being considered.
There are other fish frying right now in Hector's kitchen that need to
be watched more closely.

Although a bit archaic, wcnav and the nav clients are not totally
'useless', especially in a world where many people with less than 'state
of the art' machines and software are concerned.

For the present, I'm happy it is still supported without abused or
broken 'standards' and functionality which would possibly be instituted
by publicly releasing the source.

I do not say that improvement are not needed or that we shouldn't be
allowed to 'experiment', but the whole WINS package as a whole is fairly
unified and I for one prefer it that way.

-> So, will the navigator ever advance to the 32-bit world of today?
-> With win98, xp, me, 2000, all being very commonly used, 16-bit is so
-> out of date. Otherwise, it just makes the navigator useless. Maybe
-> just release a publis source for writing a custom navigator, and let
-> people create 16- or 32- bit as they desire.
