        I suppose that the worlds explored by the original Enterprise
 are still there.  They are not usually mentioned in the later shows.
 One strong exception that comes to mind is in DS9, where the Pike City
 Pioneers are a baseball team that plays on Cestus III.  This implies
 that the planet that was the scene of a battle in TOS "Arena" is now
 the home of Pike City and the people there are comfortable enough to
 start up a baseball league.
        In my own stories I have character named "Joe the Scan" an
 iotian who wears pinstriped suits when off duty, but that just in my
 stories.  Iotia has never, ever been mentioned again in Star Trek.
