Hi Paul.
I just thought I'd again mention how good a day I had at the store. You guys
were great to be around. I hope I can get there again, but I'm not holding my
breath - I only see Ottawa in the cards about once a year. I'm also enjoying
the CD's I picked up (see NP 8-). For anyone out there lurking within range
of Ottawa you really should try and get to La Boite Musicale in Hull. It's a
treat to be in a store that specializes in Prog. It's not everyday one gets
to play with a 100 disk CD player full of Prog. It's also not everyday that
one goes in a store that has a used CD section with Magma, 5uu's, Zao, Devil
Doll, Camel, Eloy and VDGG among others (But don't look for Devil Doll's
_Eliogabalus_ or 5uu's _Hunger's Teeth_ cause I got them 8-) 8-) Mr Doctor is
something else - you know my first impression of the vocals was a comparison
to Nina Hagan, and my wife's was the same (!).
I'm just making my way through the new CD's for the first time. I really
should have bought Halloween _Merlin_ and Anglagard's _Epilog_ long ago. The
Anglagard surprised me a bit as some folks post that it's more difficult to
get in to than Hybris, but I haven't found that at all - the album is a great
listen from the first playing. Dunwich _Il Chiorore Sorge due Volte_ is a
real nice album. While I couldn't really compare it directly to Dead Can
Dance, I can understand why you would associate them as I think anyone who
likes one would like the other.
In any case it was nice meeting you and Matthieu (sp?). I'm sure we'll see
each other again.
