I don't think that the states have too much to do with that. If the first 
round passes without a selection occuring, and there may be a couple of 
ways that might happen, the floor will be thrown open for nominations. Look 
for a long period of time to pass before anything comes of it. Honestly, in 
spite of the pastey showing that Mr. Dole has made lately, I don't think 
that he will have any problem being nominated. His choice for V.P. will 
mean more than he does at the convention.
