Having confronted Dr. Evil, Bob Kohl, International Man Of Mystery,
xclaimed:
> BK> remember digital and HDTV is coming.
> Ha, they've been coming for ten years! Obviously one of them has
> taken a wrong turn and has gotten lost and neither of them has thought
> to bring a road map....
BK>
BK> Nope, sorry.. acording to the officialgrams from the TV realm, they're
BK> real and the powers that be are already planning to spend mega-bucks
Funny, about a week after I sent this message I saw a news report
on HDTVs at some trade show indicating that they are about to go on the
market.
BK> on them.. oblivious to the fact that it will be years before the have
BK> an audience with TV's that can take advantage of it... God bless TV!
BK> ;)
Well the caveat with that report was that HDTVs were very pricey,
around the range of the home theater at about $2000-$3000, plus the fact
the standards are *STILL* not set which could still delay the release of
these products. Funny how the DVD players had such a speedy release and
acceptance by the public.
BK> I was at a lunch where the budgets for these projects for 2 stations
BK> were discussed.. and here I'd only want a small percentage.. ;)
I'm not the one to talk about stuff like that. About 7 years ago I
had the opportunity to buy share in a steel company stock at $1 a share,
I decided not to bother. Last month that steel company announced a plan
to buy back those shares at $25 a pop... :-(
Any plans on doing the Trek series for HDTV?
Sincerely Yours
